What this code means

Signals from both the engine Ne speed sensor and the Bkup (backup) speed sensor are abnormal. Engine stops or does not start. Action level L04.

Applies to: PC200-8/PC200-8M0 excavator (engine controller).

Possible causes / checks (from the source)

(1) Ne/Bkup sensor connectors defectively (wrongly) connected; (2) defective Ne speed sensor system (see CA689); (3) defective Bkup speed sensor system (see CA778); (4) defective engine controller.
